While working for a weekly newspaper in New Jersey, Matthew Lubin’s fortune cookie told him, “You will step on the soil of many countries.” He didn’t know at the time that within three years he’d move to China, where he’d spend almost four years.
After returning to the US he set out on another journey that started in October 2013 in Tokyo as a digital nomad. During that time he lived and worked in six countries over the course of a year. He then spent a few years as an editor and writer in Taipei before repatriating to the US.
He enjoys drinking craft beers, particularly variations of IPAs and porters, and sampling foods from around the world. He hasn’t met a country with a food he didn’t like.
