The apocalypse did not come. I still had to work (I wonder how many people called out sick for this). Since the world hasn’t ended, we should travel more. And we should definitely experience more of the wonders it has to offer.
The Great Wall of China (长城) is certainly on a lot of people’s bucket lists (and I admit that I do not make bucket lists, but plenty of others seem to). In 2006, I took my first trip to the Wall at Mutianyu (慕田峪). It was one of my early UNESCO destinations–many more would follow.
On the bright side, with the world continuing, my vacation plans are still valid. That means I really need to plan out the trip, or at least find accommodations.
