On my second day in Reykjavik, I wandered the city that was covered in snow from the previous night. As the sun appeared in the afternoon to bathe the city in its winter light, I wandered along the city pond and witnessed a quiet scene. Hallgrímskirkja stood in the distance — a beacon reflecting sunlight over Reykjavik.
Today, I felt the opposite extreme with the temperatures rising into the upper 90s, and I thought about the cold air on my freezing fingers as I took photos around Reykjavik while attempting to hold the camera steady.
