While waiting in a long line to walk down the cliffside steps to Buddha’s feet, I was able to take a photo over the shoulder of the world’s largest Buddha. This photo best captures the size of the Giant Buddha of Leshan.
Unfortunately, it was a brutally hot and humid day in Sichuan Province, and we didn’t see much else after the Giant Buddha. Seeing this one in Leshan made the one in Hong Kong seem rather disappointing.
