For the first time in two years, I won’t be headed to Canada for a summer trip. I had hoped to take a few days in Quebec City, but I’ll have to settle for celebrating July 4th in Boston instead.
Last year, I was fortunate enough to be in Halifax for Canada Day. I caught the end of the parade–just in time for the maple leaf costume to walk by. He was followed by the bagpipe band.
I also got to watch the fireworks in the harbor from the roof of the Farmer’s Market, which was a highlight of my trip through Halifax.
