While working for a weekly newspaper in New Jersey, Matthew Lubin’s fortune cookie told him, “You will step on the soil of many countries.” He didn’t know at the time that within three years he’d move to China, where he’d spend almost four years.
He is currently on a journey that started in October 2013 in Tokyo. He is now an expat editor in Taipei.
He enjoys drinking craft beers, particularly variations of IPAs and porters, and sampling foods from around the world. He hasn’t met a country with a food he didn’t like.
His work has appeared in Scoot in-flight magazine, FluentU, Asia’s Best Hotels & Resorts, Shenzhen Daily, TravelSort, Freelance Writing Jobs Network, Unshod Quills, The Aroostook Review, Ink Collective, American Poets Abroad, and American Drivel Review.
